Sara B. Carissimi, Esq.

Sara B. Carissimi, Esq. is a dedicated divorce family law attorney who has devoted her entire legal career to representing clients confronting the challenges of matrimonial and family court proceedings.  With over a decade of matrimonial litigation and a term as President of the Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association, Ms. Carissimi brings a wealth of knowledge to our firm and genuine compassion to every case she handles.

Ms. Carissimi earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University, cum laude, before obtaining her Juris Doctorate from Touro University, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2014. Since her admission to the New York State Bar in 2015, she has exclusively practiced divorce and family law, developing expertise in matters including contested divorce and uncontested divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal maintenance, equitable distribution, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, orders of protection, and paternity disputes.

Prior to joining the Law Office of Louis L. Sternberg, P.C., Ms. Carissimi spent five years as a partner at a highly respected boutique matrimonial law firm on Long Island.  Her extensive courtroom experience, including trial on numerous cases, and proven track record in handling complex divorce litigation and high-conflict custody disputes make her a formidable advocate for her clients.

An active leader in the legal community, Ms. Carissimi currently serves as President of the Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association, a position she holds after seven years of dedicated service on the organization’s Board of Directors. She is also a proud member of the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association.
